Dexterity Releases Electrifying New Single“Raise The Dead”

Dexterity is an alt/prog rock group, merging  inspirations from progressive metal with alternative rock.

Dexterity emphasizes how unconventional rhythms and song  structure can appeal naturally to the listener by combining those aspects with flowing melodies and grooves you can dance to. The backline, provided by bassist Adrianna  Matthews, drummer Alex Rose and guitarists Cian Somers and Nathan O'Maoilearca, ground the grooves in each of the songs to make the complicated rhythm and structure feel  natural. Dexterity has been active in Dublin's rock scene for  the last three years, and continues to engage audiences with dynamic live performances.

As engaging as it is unpredictable, new single “Raise The Dead” takes listeners  paragliding through dynamic intensity and sonic cataclysms.

Irresistible rhythms, funky guitars, and  haunting melodies combine to create a truly memorable tune. “Raise the Dead” was written about dealing with grief and loss, examining  the experience of putting on a mask for others in order to function in the world.  About the new single, frontwoman and main songwriter Sarah Dexter says,  “The mask isn't real, it's ethereal and struggles to  maintain its shape. Sometimes the mask breaks to  reveal what’s underneath.”

She goes on to discuss the journey of grief as at first, feeling nothing and wondering why. That feeling  dissolves into blaming everyone who’s living, living in  denial that someone is really gone, and desperately  begging them to come back and be alive again. Finally,  there is experiencing moments of acceptance, or at least accepting the pain and feelings as they are - a sense of turmoil and turbulence that permeates throughout the track.
